What Parents Should Know
A NOTE TO FAMILIES
You’re Not Handing Your Child Off. You’re Partnering.
We believe that God has entrusted the education of children to their parents — not to the state, not to the school, and not to any institution. The school’s job is to support you, not to replace you or work around you.
At Faithful Roots Schoolhouse, that means you’ll know what your child is learning, how they’re doing, and who they’re spending time with. The teacher knows your family. And if something isn’t working, we’ll have a real conversation about it, not a form letter.
WHAT PARTNERSHIP LOOKS LIKE
How We Walk Together
Ongoing Dialogue
Regular updates and direct access to your child's teacher. You will never wonder what is happening in the classroom. No surprises. No guessing.
Shared Values
School and home stay aligned. We reinforce at school what you teach at home — the same character values, and expectations. No mixed messages.
Involvement
You’re welcome here. We encourage parents to volunteer and be part of school activities as you’re able. This is a community, not an institution.
Your Questions, Answered

-
No. We are a private Christian school operating under Georgia’s private school statutes (O.C.G.A. § 20-2-690). We maintain detailed academic records; teach a rigorous, documented curriculum; and meet or exceed every requirement the state sets.

Because research on early childhood learning is clear: children build stronger skills (in reading, attention, memory, and reasoning) through hands-on, relational learning. Screens are a significant obstacle to that, especially in the early grades. This is not a cost decision. It’s an educational one.

Enrollment is intentionally small. The one room model only works if the teacher can know every child individually. The target is 15 students. We anticipate spots will fill up early, so we encourage families to reach out as soon as they’re interested.

We are a Christian school, and we ask that enrolled families be generally supportive of our Statement of Faith and comfortable with a Christ-centered learning environment. We don’t require families to belong to a specific denomination. If you have questions about whether this is the right fit, the best thing to do is reach out and have a real conversation.
